When Sofía Grodek invited me to participate in her exhibition cycle "La espina de La Espina", the idea of a native species in motion emerged immediately. The native espinillo tree was chosen for its distinct zigzag morphology and sharp thorns.
Through animation, the piece explores the transition of soft matter hardening as a form of protection, revealing how that which appears static intrinsically harbors constant motion.
